This project is a UX/UI-focused piece of work created in Figma. The idea was to design a new app for car enthusiasts — a one-stop shop built around their passion. A place to post pictures, talk in forums, and find local meetups.
Currently, there’s no dedicated app for car enthusiasts to share their cars, find meetups, ask questions, or interact with others who share the same interest. My goal was to create an app that caters specifically to this hobby, with a strong focus on building community.
When it comes to apps that let enthusiasts share car photos, find meets, and connect with others, the options are extremely limited with what is out there now.

There aren’t many apps out there designed specifically for car enthusiasts to share images of their cars, interact with others, or discover local events. The few that do exist often only offer a portion of these features. They're typically hard to navigate, lack appealing aesthetics, or simply don’t provide all the tools users are looking for.

Right now, most car enthusiasts rely on forums or groups on Facebook and Reddit. These platforms help people discover local events, share car builds or finds, ask questions, and connect with others who share the same passion.
Hatch brings all of that into one place. With this app, users can post their favourite car photos, join forum discussions, and find nearby car meetups. It’s designed to let users fully immerse themselves in the car enthusiast community.
By the end of this project, I had significantly strengthened my skills in Figma, especially in creating app prototypes. I also improved my ability to identify problems and develop thoughtful solutions. I recognized a gap in the car community and designed a way to help fill it.
